// BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER //

influence group, a leading producer of B2B leadership retreats, virtual roundtables and custom content, is seeking a competitive business development professional to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and closing new sponsor relationships for our fast-growing portfolio of live events and digital experiences. The ideal candidate has the ability to attain and exceed revenue goals in competitive and high-growth markets while building relationships with both major companies and startups.

This position reports to the Managing Director and will work closely with our Marketing and Audience Development teams. It presents wonderful career growth opportunities for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize business and industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts for our in-person and virtual events.
  • Generate new business opportunities by proactively contacting potential new clients via phone, email, and social networks (Linkedin, Twitter).
  • Manage the B2B sales process including prospecting, filling the pipeline, developing relationships, and closing the sale.
  • Develop effective sales proposals by utilizing a thorough understanding of appropriate and available inventory.
  • Complete regular sales pipelines and revenue forecasts.
  • Manage your accounts on-site at our live events (2021- Palm Springs, Austin, San Diego, more TBA)
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years B2B sales experience.
  • Hunter mindset.
  • Proven track record in initiating and closing new business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to create sales reports and manage tracking and analytics.
  • Experience using sales automation and CRM tools.
  • Ability to function with a remote and decentralized team.
  • Previous sponsorship sales experience (especially w/ hosted buyer formats) a plus!

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

As a Strategic Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for running inbound and outbound programs to drive our company’s pipeline and revenue goals.

We are looking for someone that is passionate about digital marketing, events, and lead generation. Candidates need to be experienced in running the entire marketing program lifecycle—from ideation, planning and execution— through various channels such as email, content generation (webinars, live streaming), ads and social media.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

influence group, a leading producer of B2B leadership retreats, virtual roundtables and custom content, is seeking a highly motivated Audience Recruitment Manager to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and recruiting Attendees for our fast-growing portfolio of live events and virtual events. The ideal candidate has experience:

  • Using novel methods and sources to conduct research to identify ideal target audiences;
  • Connecting with the target audience via the most receptive medium (email, phone, Linkedin);
  • Crafting a unique value proposition that links fulfillment of each prospect’s deepest aspirations to attendance at the event;
  • Developing an organic understanding of each prospect that enables him or her to convey the essence of the value proposition in a concise manner;
  • Closing the sale by securing event registrations, and
  • Curating, the database of prospects and customers to remove noise and error.

This role reports to the Audience Development Director, and their upward mobility is limited only by their performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Qualify and Recruit attendees to in-person events and virtual roundtables by cold calling, email outreach and LinkedIn messaging;
  • Manage the attendee recruitment process for our multi-day annual events and virtual roundtables;
  • Expand and curate the global database to increase attendee engagement and turnout;
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to pitching to closing and Account Management;
  • Deliver against daily/weekly/monthly targets relating to call volumes, duration, and sales targets
  • Maintain an assigned group of accounts in Hubspot (CRM) through continuously researching online to find appropriate prospects and their contact info
  • Understand and articulate influence group’s offering strategy across multiple events and industries;
  • Leverage social media, including LinkedIn and Twitter, to promote influence group content to help grow the business;
  • Maintain a professional and cordial demeanor in all interactions, across all media and audiences, and
  • Maintain up-to-date forecasting and reporting results in CRM;
  • Contribute novel ideas to management for new events and content, improved processes, and other ideas for growing the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of sales experience;
  • Advanced search skills in LinkedIn, Google and social media;
  • Experience using sales automation and CRM;
  • Experience interacting with a remote and decentralized team;
  • Willingness to travel to live events up to five times per year.

What is the Role?

As a Conference / Content Producer, you will be responsible for researching and shaping the content for our live events, virtual roundtables and webcasts. This individual will have input into every aspect of our product development, from inception, through marketing to “day of show” delivery.

The Producer will be involved in shaping the content and format of our experiences (live and virtual), so meticulous research and creativity are central to the role. The Producer also plays a large part in securing relevant speakers and building relationships with thought leaders in order to be on top of key industry trends.

Writing is also an important part of the role, being able to create content (blog articles, Q&A profiles) that will appeal to our target audiences.

Requirements:
  • Must be a curious learner.
