Who we are
Founded in 2013 by Michael P. Owens and Michael McCarthy, Influence Group was built on a simple idea: business events should be worth showing up for.
As traditional conferences became more about scale than substance, Influence Group focused on building smaller, tighter gatherings where connection, content, and experience actually carried weight.
Over the years, the business grew from a two-person startup into an international team producing some of the most respected B2B event brands across retail, restaurant, workplace, healthcare, education, and senior care. Today, it operates as part of CloserStill Media, one of the world’s leading producers of professional business events.
